Cranberry spice Porridge

Give your porridge a great winter kick with this simple recipe. Cranberries and mixed spice add a nice flavour to the dish – which will keep you full until lunch

Cranberry spice porridge



Use frozen whole cranberries with 2 tbsp sugar instead of the dried cranberries and cranberry sauce.

  • 100g rolled oats
  • 50g dried cranberries
  • ¼ tsp mixed spice
  • 2 tbsp cranberry sauce
  • 700ml semi skimmed milk


  1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  2. Serve with a tsp of cranberry sauce and a sprinkling of mixed spice.

Guideline Daily Amount for 2,000 calories per day are: 70g fat, 20g saturated fat, 90g sugar, 6g salt.
